Over the past weeks, we have achieved several key milestones in changing the travel industry’s perception regarding the island’s readiness to host leisure travelers as well as significant meetings and events.
More importantly, we are moving past the “readiness” message to educate the industry on all the exciting new openings and developments – like the District San Juan – that are positioning Puerto Rico as a world-class destination now and in the future.
Recently, we unveiled our new tradeshow booth at IMEX America 2018 in Las Vegas. This cutting-edge booth features a 360-degree LED screen that can be configured into different sizes. This booth will be showcased again at many major tradeshows in 2019.
During IMEX, 23 representatives from Discover Puerto Rico, along with several hotel and DMC partners, had 233 pre-scheduled appointments and 224 unscheduled appointments for a total of 457 face-to-face meetings at this important event. Moreover, the booth featured monitors with a live feed showcasing special locations of the island, so we could show meeting planners images of our destination in real time.
All in all, the event was a huge success!Go back
